Our Technology
We are proud to offer the 3 Tesla MRI, the highest field strength magnet commercially available, for incomparable image quality and speed. An Open Sitting MRI, also known as the Stand-Up MRI, is available for patients with special physical needs, including those who have not been able to tolerate an MRI because of claustrophobia.
Our practice also offers Positron Emission Mammography (PEM), the latest technology in breast imaging. PEM allows physicians to visualize breast tumors as small as the width of a grain of rice, precisely characterize abnormal tissue, and plan for effective treatment.
The Westchester Dedicated Breast MRI, available at the Rye Brook Center, is the only one of its kind in Westchester County. This comfortable, integrated high field breast MRI system allows for more efficient biopsies through MRI guidance. The images are far superior in clarity and contrast to conventional whole body MRIs for breast imaging.
PET/CT, another state-of-the-art technology, combines the anatomical imaging of a CT scan with a view of the metabolic activity made possible by nuclear medicine. The test yields images that can identify and locate metabolically active lesions with exceptional accuracy.
